The metal RGM hoses produced by the UZM
The flexible metal hose consists of a pressure-tight, corrugated metal hose and an outer stainless steel braid, which is used for pressure stabilisation and absorption of the reaction forces, having connecting fittings for welding at the ends.
Hoses can be welded with fittings for detachable connection at the ends.

Corrugating of Increased flexibility Ø6-Ø200 – is made by squeezing annular corrugations, which allows to increase the flexibility of the metal hose, in installation of hard-to- reach areas.
Heavy series Ø6-Ø200 – have increased thickness of the corrugations, which allows using the flexible metal hose with the maximum working pressure (up to 400 kgf / cm2).
Spiral Ø6-Ø200 type of cover allows to increase the flexibility of the metal hose, as well as allows to transport medium with the maximum speed. Spiral corrugating increases the hose life.
Two-layer corrugating Ø6 - Ø125 – is designed for operation in particularly important production sites, for example, transportation of radioactive media. Two-layer corrugating provides increased tightness of the flexible part.
Two-layer braiding - allows to increase the working pressure, usually used in conjunction with a heavy RGM (pressure - tight metal hoses) series.
Three-layer braiding – allows to use the maximum working pressure, is applied when preparing special customers’ conditions.
Rolled-non-hermetic stainless steel cover, formed by profiling and rolling in a spiral, used as an internal screen to strengthen the structure, dissipate the temperature of the working environment to prevent damage to the main bellows.
Braided - is a steel mesh braiding, placed inside the bellows to disperse the temperature of the medium to prevent the damage of the main bellows.
PTFE - tube is used to prevent contact of highly corrosive environment with the bellows material, end fittings; as a rule, it is used in chemical industry, in working with acids, chemical compounds or highly adhesive environment.
Thermal hose – is used to protect personnel working in close proximity to the metal hose, from burns or frostbite, while transporting media of low or high temperatures.
Rubber cover - allows to protect the metal hose braid from any mechanical damage.
Spring - provides protection of the flexible part of the metal hose from fractures. As a rule, it protects the place of end fittings from bending, sometimes it is installed along the entire length of the metal hose.
RGM 50-40-1, 0 c/a
Decryption:
RGM - product's series (pressure-tight metal hoses);
50-nominal inner diameter of the hose in mm;
40 - the highest operating pressure of the hose in kgf / cm2 (atm.) under normal operating conditions;
1.0-nominal length of the hose assembled, m;;
c/a – availability of special end fittings in accordance with Customer requirements. A full description of the end fittings is presented in the Customer's technical passport. Hose marked without abbreviation c/a – means that hose is without valve, suitable for welding.
